New emails, replies, rich text, attachments, signatures, drafts, undo send - and send later and templates with Mail Pro.
Send later and templates are part of Mail Pro; everything else here is free.
Press N (or Ctrl+N) or the pen button for a new email. In the reading pane, Reply, Reply all and Forward are in the toolbar - or press R, A or F. Forwarding keeps the attachments.
Write with bold, italic, colours, bullets, links and pictures, or in plain text. Ctrl+B, Ctrl+I and Ctrl+U work as you'd expect, and Ctrl+Enter sends.
Addresses you've written to or heard from are suggested as you type; press Enter or Tab to pick one. Before sending, Mail checks for a missing recipient, an address that doesn't look right, and an attachment you mentioned but didn't attach.
Add files with the paper clip, or drag them onto the email.
Each account has its own signature: Settings > Accounts > Edit. It's added to new emails and replies.
What you write is saved as you go. Closing an email keeps it as a draft - on this PC and in your provider's Drafts folder, so it's on your phone too.
After you press Send, the email waits a few seconds so you can take it back: Settings > Reading > Undo send, Off, 5, 10 or 20 seconds (10 to start with). Undo puts it back in the composer as it was. If you close Mail, anything still waiting is sent first.
Anything you send without a connection waits in the Outbox and goes when you're back online.
Write tonight and send at 8am Monday: choose Send later in the composer and pick a time. It waits in the Outbox, where you can send it now or cancel it.
Save an email you write every week as a template and use it in one click. Settings > Templates manages them.
