Who we are

Metre2 is a small UK-based software team. If you have any question about this policy or your data, contact us at support@metre2.co.uk.

What we collect

When you create a Metre2 account and use one of our apps, we collect:

• Account details - your name, email address and company name, used to sign you in and identify your account across every Metre2 app.
• Usage data - which features you use and when, app sessions, and basic device/OS information, used to understand how the apps are used and to fix problems.
• Feedback you send us - anything you submit through an in-app feedback prompt, sent to a real person on our team.
• Files you work with - documents, drawings or other project data you open in a Metre2 app are processed on your own device. We do not upload or store the contents of your project files on our servers.
• Records you choose to share - if you turn on a sharing feature, such as shared leads in Lead Tracker Pro, the records you share (for example enquiries, with any names and contact details you've entered in them) are stored on our servers so your other computers and browsers signed in to the same Metre2 account can see them. They are stored in Microsoft Azure and only that account can read them. Where they include details of other people, you are responsible for having the right to keep them, under the data protection law that applies to you.

Apps you use in your browser

Some Metre2 apps can be used directly in a web browser at www.metre2.co.uk/keystone/ without creating an account. Your work in those apps is stored only in your own browser, on your own device - we never see it. To understand whether these apps are being used, they send us anonymous usage counts: a random identifier generated in your browser (not linked to your name, email or any account), which app was opened and for how long, whether it was added to your home screen, your time zone and language, and a rough screen size. They do not collect your IP address for analytics, your browsing on other sites, or anything you type into the app. This is statistical use only, to improve our own apps, and is not shared with anyone. You can switch it off at any time using the "Opt out of usage counts" link at the bottom of any browser app; that removes the identifier from your browser and stops the counts.

Visiting this website

This website does not use cookies and does not store anything in your browser. To count how many people visit, each page sends us a short note of the page you viewed, the site you came from (just its name, for example google.com), any campaign tag in the link, your time zone and language, and whether you are on a computer, tablet or phone and which browser and operating system you use. We also count clicks through to the Microsoft Store and into the browser apps. To tell visitors apart within a single day, our server combines your IP address and browser details with a random value that changes every day and is then deleted, and keeps only the scrambled result - we never store your IP address or browser details, and we cannot recognise you from one day to the next or across other websites. If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, nothing is sent at all.

Why we collect it

We use this data to:

• Provide and maintain your account across every Metre2 app you use.
• Respond to support requests and feedback.
• Understand product usage so we can prioritise fixes and improvements.
• Meet our legal and security obligations, including our Cyber Essentials certification requirements.

How long we keep it

We keep account and usage data for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we will remove your account details and usage history within a reasonable time, except where we're required to keep records for legal or accounting reasons. Shared records stay until you delete them in the app or ask us to remove them; deleting your account removes them too.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We use a small number of infrastructure providers (such as our cloud hosting provider) to run the service, who process data on our behalf under their own confidentiality and security terms. We do not share your data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Your rights

If you're in the UK or EU, you have rights under UK GDPR / GDPR, including the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email support@metre2.co.uk.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our apps evolve. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do.
