Choose Add an account and type your work, school or Outlook.com address. Mailboxes at Microsoft are set up in Microsoft 365 mode - the account shows GRAPH.
Press Sign in with Microsoft. Microsoft's own sign-in page opens in your browser, so Metre2 Mail never sees your password - it only gets permission to read and send your mail.
Inbox, Sent Items, Deleted Items, Junk Email, Archive and your own folders appear, newest mail first. New mail is checked every minute.
Read, reply, flag, move, archive, search, drafts, undo send and send later all work - your Sent copy is saved by Microsoft. Rules and blocked senders run on new mail in the Inbox.
Already added it on IMAP? Settings > Accounts > Edit > Switch to Microsoft 365 mode. If your organisation switches IMAP off, Mail says so and offers the switch in one click.

Yes. That's what Microsoft 365 mode is for: it doesn't use IMAP or SMTP at all, so it works where an organisation has switched them off. If an IMAP account stops working because IMAP was switched off, Metre2 Mail tells you and offers to switch.

Some organisations only let their people use apps an administrator has approved. Your IT administrator can approve Metre2 Mail once for the whole organisation, and then everyone can sign in.
With Mail Pro, yes - in Microsoft 365 mode the categories are your mailbox's own, both ways: one you make in Metre2 Mail appears in your Microsoft 365 mailbox, and one made there appears in Mail.
