BIM Explorer - free

Colour by property and viewsFREE

Pick any property - IFC class, storey, material, classification, fire rating or any property set or quantity value - and the model is coloured by its values, with a legend and counts. Hide, isolate or select by value. Save viewpoints free; save whole views with BIM Explorer Pro.

BIM Explorer colouring the sample house by IFC class, with the legend listing each class and its count in the Views tab
How it works

Step by step

1

Open Views

Open the Views tab and pick a property from the list: attributes such as IFC class, storey, material and classification first, then every property set and quantity in the model.

2

Read the legend

Each value gets a colour and a count. The legend is overlaid on the 3D view too, so it's in your snapshots.

3

Hide, isolate, select

Use the eye to hide a value, Isolate to see only it, or Select to pick its elements. Search the values, and ghost the elements that have no value.

4

Keep it

Save viewpoints free. With BIM Explorer Pro, Save this view keeps the colouring, the hidden values and the camera together, to come back to.

Help: Inspecting the model has every option in detail.
