IDS and clash checks - BIM Explorer help

IDS check

Part of BIM Explorer Pro. Check the loaded models against a buildingSMART IDS (Information Delivery Specification) file - the information requirements set by the client or the BIM manager.

Open Checks and load an .ids file.
No IDS file? Run one of the five UK starter checks: Uniclass, spaces, base quantities, common properties or a handover minimum.
Each specification shows how many elements it applies to and how many passed.
Open a failed specification to see each failing element and why; click one to select it in the model.
Export the result as an HTML report or CSV.

Clash check

Part of BIM Explorer Pro. Find hard clashes between two sets of elements - two models, or two IFC classes in one model - by bounding box and then by the meshes themselves.

Choose Set A and Set B: a model, an IFC class, or both.
Set a tolerance: overlaps smaller than it are ignored.
Click a clash to select both elements and zoom to them.
Export the clashes as CSV, or as BCF issues with a viewpoint each.
