Calendar releases

What's new

What changed in each version of Calendar, newest first. Updates come through the Microsoft Store automatically; the browser edition updates itself.

Calendar 1.1

6 November 2026

A cleaner, lighter look, four new Calendar Pro features - a Year view, timesheets and invoices from your hours, calendar subscriptions and backup and restore - and Calendar Pro is easier to find. Calendar itself stays free.

Free for everyone

  • A cleaner, lighter look: Calendar opens in light mode, with a simpler toolbar and sidebar and the Inter typeface. Templates, print and export, Project Report, tracking, the site diary, the Timeline view and Dark mode are in the ··· menu at the top right. Dark mode now fills events with their colour, with text that stays readable on every one.
  • Projects filter from a small All projects control at the top of Calendars, and + Add calendar holds new calendars, linked calendars and bank holidays.
  • In narrow windows the sidebar opens from a button beside Today, so the calendar keeps the full width.
  • Everything Calendar Pro adds is listed under Calendar Pro in the sidebar - click it to open the list - with a PRO badge on each until you have it.
  • The Pro button stays on the toolbar in narrow windows, as a small icon.
  • The user guide (press ?) has a new Calendar Pro section, and its steps for bank holidays, printing, PDF and iCal now match the app.

In Calendar Pro

  • Year view: all twelve months on one screen, with a dot for each day's events and UK bank holidays shaded. Click a day to open it; print the year as a wall planner. Press 6.
  • Timesheets: a week or a month of the hours you logged, by project and day, with CSV export and print.
  • Invoices from your hours: rate, VAT, your details and the client's, and the next invoice number - printed or saved as a PDF. Pounds by default, other currencies too.
  • Calendar subscriptions: bank holidays for Scotland, Northern Ireland and England and Wales from GOV.UK, Irish public holidays and the UK clock changes, ready to add.
  • Backup and restore: everything in one file; restore it with a preview, merge or replace, and undo. Optional weekly reminder.
  • Try every Pro feature free for 7 days from the sidebar - no payment details, and it switches off by itself.

Fixes

  • Two harmless WebView warnings are no longer recorded as errors.

Calendar 1.0.35

Free for everyone

  • Solid event colours by default, so green and blue events are easy to tell apart. Prefer the softer look? Settings > Event Colours.
  • The toolbar fits smaller screens: buttons tuck into the ... menu as the window narrows, so Settings and Help never drop off the edge.
  • Settings is wider, in two columns, and always fits the window.

Calendar 1.0.33

Free for everyone

  • Link another calendar you use by its iCal address and see it next to your own events, read-only and kept up to date. One linked calendar is free.
