From first contact to won or lost

Metre2 Lead & Enquiry Tracker

A simple pipeline for inbound enquiries - lighter than a full CRM, built for any industry. A stage-based kanban board moves each enquiry from New through Contacted, Qualified and Proposal to Won or Lost, flags anything that's gone quiet, and reports a conversion funnel so you can see where enquiries actually drop off.

Lead & Enquiry Tracker, in practice

The All enquiries table, the Insights conversion funnel and source breakdown, and Settings.

A six-stage kanban board

New, Contacted, Qualified, Proposal, Won and Lost, each its own scrollable column of enquiry cards - a glance at the board tells you exactly how many enquiries sit at every stage of the pipeline.

Stalled enquiries flagged automatically

Any open enquiry that hasn't changed stage within your configured threshold (14 days by default) gets a highlighted border on its kanban card and a stalled count in Insights - nothing goes quiet without you noticing.

A full activity history per enquiry

Every stage move is logged with a date and note, so you can see exactly when an enquiry moved from Contacted to Qualified, or why it was marked Lost - right up to the moment it's won or lost.

A real conversion funnel

Insights breaks down how many enquiries reach each stage and what share convert through to Won - plus average days-to-close - so you can see where the pipeline actually leaks, not just guess.

Broken down by source, too

Website, Referral, Phone, Trade show, Social media, Email, Advert or Other - tag each enquiry's source and see which channels actually convert, not just which bring in the most volume.

Search, sort and filter the full list

Every enquiry's also on the All enquiries tab, searchable by name, company or notes, sortable on any column, and filterable by stage or source - for when you need the full list, not just the board.

Any currency

Set your currency symbol in Settings - estimated value tracking works the same whichever currency your pricing is in.

Light/dark theme, and sample data

A light/dark toggle that remembers your choice, and "Load sample data" fills in a realistic set of enquiries across every stage so you can see the board and the funnel working before entering your own.

CSV export

Export the full enquiry list to CSV any time - for a backup, a spreadsheet pivot, or handing a snapshot to someone else on the team.

Genuinely thin, on purpose

No deal stages beyond the pipeline, no task manager, no full CRM - just the one job that matters when an enquiry lands: knowing where it is and whether it's stalled.

Works entirely offline

Everything lives in local storage on your device - no account setup beyond your shared Metre2 sign-in, no server, no internet connection required to use it day to day.

How it compares to a spreadsheet or a full CRM

Most small businesses either track inbound enquiries in a spreadsheet nobody keeps updated, or pay for a full CRM they don't need just to know where a lead sits. Here's how a dedicated, focused pipeline tracker compares.

Feature Lead & Enquiry Tracker A spreadsheet Full CRM
Pricing model £0.79 one-off after trial Free (if you already have Excel/Sheets) Per-user monthly subscription
Works fully offline (local files) (cloud-hosted)
Visual kanban pipeline, not just a filtered list (build a filter/formula yourself) (usually)
Automatic stalled-enquiry detection (track dates manually) (usually, with set-up)
Set-up time Minutes Minutes, but easy to fall behind on Days (pipelines, fields, permissions)
No account required to set up

General comparison as of August 2026 - features and pricing vary by spreadsheet tool and by CRM vendor. Not sponsored by or affiliated with any spreadsheet or CRM vendor.

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from Customer Contact Book or a full CRM?

Customer Contact Book is a directory - it holds every contact and company you know, with no pipeline stages. A full CRM tracks contacts, deals, tasks, activity history and more, usually with a monthly subscription. Lead & Enquiry Tracker sits in between: just a stage-based pipeline for enquiries from first contact through to won or lost, with none of a full CRM's set-up overhead.

What are the pipeline stages?

New, Contacted, Qualified, Proposal, Won and Lost. New, Contacted, Qualified and Proposal are the open stages shown on the kanban board; Won and Lost are closed stages that stop counting toward open pipeline value.

What does "stalled" mean?

Any open-stage enquiry that hasn't moved stage within a configurable number of days (14 by default) is flagged as stalled - a highlighted left border on its kanban card, and a stalled count in Insights - so an enquiry can't quietly go cold without you noticing.

Does it track where enquiries come from?

Yes - each enquiry records a source (Website, Referral, Phone, Trade show, Social media, Email, Advert or Other), and the Insights tab breaks the conversion funnel down by source, so you can see which channels actually convert.

Can I export my enquiries?

Yes - the All enquiries tab has a CSV export of the full list, for a backup, a spreadsheet pivot, or handing a snapshot to someone else.

Do I need to install anything to use Lead & Enquiry Tracker?

It's a Windows desktop app, submitted to the Microsoft Store and awaiting Microsoft's certification review.

Where does my data go?

Everything persists on your device between sessions - nothing is uploaded anywhere. The app works entirely offline with no server dependency, and data doesn't currently sync across multiple devices.
