The tiles are down.
Upstairs at the Lamplight, the tiles are shuffled under the lamp. Play Fives & Threes on a cribbage board the way the pub leagues do, All Fives, Draw, Block or a full Mexican Train against the house regulars - with a fair shuffle, and every hand turned face up at the end. Free in your browser on a phone, tablet or PC - no account, no adverts.
The room, Fives & Threes on the cribbage board, Mexican Train, All Fives, a hand turned face up and the rules walkthrough.
The room - pick a game, a regular and a stake
Fives & Threes - pegged on the cribbage board
Mexican Train - five at the table, double-twelve
All Fives - the spinner, four ways
Every hand turned face up at the end
The rules, a page at a time, on your first game
Fives & Threes, All Fives (Muggins), Draw, Block and Mexican Train - every rule enforced, so you can only ever lay a tile where it goes.
The count on the ends scores a point for every five and every three - 15 is worth 8 - pegged on a proper cribbage board to 61 or 121. Two players, or four in pairs.
A double-twelve set, a train each and the Mexican train, open trains and doubles to cover, for two to six players. Lowest total after the last round wins.
Strong random shuffling, regulars who only see their own tiles, and every hand turned face up at the end so you can see for yourself.
Cecil, Mabel, Rufus, Otis, Pearl, Ines, Agnes, Winston and Dolores - some chase every count, some sit on a number all night. The stronger ones join you as you level up.
A rules walkthrough on your first game, playable tiles lifted in your rack, gold spots where they can go, and a Hint button that says why.
Take back a tile for a moment after you lay it, or switch on Confirm each play and press Done when you are sure.
Stake play chips on a game and win them from the table. They can't be bought or cashed out, and the house stands you more if you run dry.
Twenty trophies to win - eight for fifteen, a lurch, a full carriage, beating Dolores - your record against every regular and an offline leaderboard.
Large pips, numbers printed on every tile, coloured or classic black spots, bigger text and reduced motion. Nothing relies on colour alone.
Tap a tile and a gold spot, click, or walk your rack with the arrow keys or a gamepad. It fits a phone held upright as well as a wide PC screen.
No account, no adverts, nothing to buy. The whole room runs on your own device and your progress stays there.
Most free dominoes apps pay for themselves with adverts, and their reviews are full of players who think the computer cheats. Lamplight Dominoes has no adverts, and shows you every hand.

No. Chips are for play only. You can't buy them, cash them out or exchange them for anything, and if you run low the house stands you 200 more for free.
The tiles are shuffled fairly for every hand, with the same strong random numbers browsers use for security. The regulars can't see your hand: they choose from their own tiles, what's on the table, how many tiles everyone holds and which numbers you've knocked or drawn on, just as a sharp player at a real table would. At the end of every hand all the tiles are turned face up, so you can check for yourself.
Five: Fives & Threes, the pub game, scored on a cribbage board to 61 or 121, with two players or four in pairs; All Fives (Muggins) with a spinner; the plain Draw and Block games; and Mexican Train with a double-twelve set for two to six players.
Nine house regulars - computer players run by the game - at four strengths, from Cecil, who is still counting his spots, to Winston and Dolores, who know exactly which numbers you're out of. More of them join you as you level up, and they fill the empty seats at a Mexican Train table.
Yes. Your first game walks you through the rules a page at a time, and each new game shows its own rules the first time you play it. The tiles that will go are lifted in your rack, the places they can go light up in gold, and the Hint button suggests a tile and says why. You can undo a tile for a moment after you lay it.
No - play it straight from your browser, on a phone, tablet or PC, and add it to your home screen like an app. A free Windows app for the Microsoft Store is on its way.
No account and no adverts. The browser edition needs a connection the first time it loads; after that the whole room is stored on your device and works offline.
On your own device. Your level, trophies, record and any game in progress stay on the device you play on, and you can erase them yourself in Settings. In your browser, your chips are shared with Lamplight Card Room and the other Lamplight games, so you're playing with the same stack.
Free in your browser. A free Windows app is on its way. Play chips only, never real money. No account, no adverts.
