Quality inspections & audits

Inspection & QC Audit Manager

Run template-driven checklist inspections with automatic pass/fail scoring, a critical-item override that fails the inspection outright regardless of the overall score, and non-conformance follow-up that's raised the moment a checklist item fails - no re-typing, no separate tracker.

Metre2 Inspection & QC Audit Manager showing the Inspections tab as a scorecard grid, with score-percentage rings and pass/fail dot rows per inspection

Scorecard grid, not a spreadsheet

Every inspection renders as a scorecard - a score-percentage ring plus a row of small pass/fail/N-A dots for each checklist item, so overall results and the detail behind them are both visible without opening anything.

Critical items override the score

Mark specific checklist items as critical when building a template. A single failed critical item fails the whole inspection outright, no matter how high the overall percentage comes out - a fire exit blocked isn't a 95% pass.

Reusable templates by category

Ships with fire safety walkaround, scaffold handover check and supplier QC audit templates. Build your own for solar, vehicle or any other checklist and reuse it across every inspection of that type.

Failed items become non-conformances automatically

No re-typing. Every failed checklist item is raised as a non-conformance with a corrective action field, an owner and a due date (14 days out by default) the moment the inspection is saved.

Open and overdue non-conformances tracked together

The Non-conformances tab lists every failed item across every inspection with its status, owner and due date, and flags overdue ones - so nothing failed quietly disappears.

Dashboard with pass rate by category

Templates, inspection volume, overall pass rate and open non-conformances at a glance, plus a pass-rate breakdown by category so you can see which type of inspection is failing most.

Printable reports, CSV export

Print or export a clean report of any inspection - checklist, scores and any non-conformances raised. Export the whole non-conformance register to CSV for a supplier meeting or a client handover pack.

Light/dark theme, filters, sample data

Filter inspections by template, category, result or subject. Light/dark theme remembers your choice, and sample templates and inspections let you explore scoring and non-conformances before logging your own.

Inspection & QC Audit Manager, in practice

Frequently asked questions

How does the pass/fail scoring work?

Each checklist item is marked pass, fail or not applicable. The score is the percentage of applicable items that passed, checked against a pass threshold you set in Settings (80% by default). But any single failed item marked critical fails the whole inspection outright, regardless of the overall score - a 95% inspection with one failed critical item still fails.

What happens when an inspection fails?

Every failed checklist item automatically becomes a non-conformance on the Non-conformances tab, with a corrective action field, an owner and a due date (14 days out by default). Nothing has to be re-typed or copied across from the inspection.

Can I write my own inspection templates?

Yes. Templates ship for fire safety walkarounds, scaffold handover checks and supplier QC audits, but you can build your own from scratch - add any checklist items you need and mark specific ones as critical.

What's the difference between this and a due-date tracker?

Tools like Site Induction Tracker, PPE Issue Tracker or Tool & Equipment Calibration Tracker are registers - they tell you when something next needs renewing or replacing. Inspection & QC Audit Manager is a checklist scoring tool - it records what happened during a specific inspection, scores it pass or fail, and tracks the follow-up work when it fails.

Can I print or export an inspection report?

Yes - open any inspection and use Print / export for a clean, printable report of the checklist, scores and any non-conformances raised. Non-conformances can also be exported to CSV from the Non-conformances tab.

Does my Inspection & QC Audit Manager account work with Vector and Forma?

Yes - Inspection & QC Audit Manager uses the same shared Metre2 account as Vector, Forma and every other Keystone app. Sign in once and it works everywhere.
